Dr. Josh Heinsheimer
Dr. Josh Heinsheimer is a 4th generation dental professional who graduated magna cum laude with honors from Temple Dental School. After dental school, he completed a residency program with St. Luke’s Hospital in Pennsylvania where he gained an education in advanced dental and surgical procedures. He now is a visiting faculty at St. Luke’s Hospital, lecturing in subjects including TMJ and complex treatment planning.
Dr. Josh is experienced in nitrous oxide and oral sedation techniques for all procedures and ages. However, he finds that often through establishing great and trusting relationships with his patients, he is able to help many patients overcome their dental anxieties and need for sedation.
Dr. Josh was born in Philadelphia and grew up with a love for sports, especially baseball and water polo. Before dentistry, he held many other jobs: He rented cars, worked in a hospital sterilization department, worked as a fry cook, as well as a waiter, administered an agriculture energy efficiency program, and pushed carts at Whole Foods. These experiences led him to have a better understanding of people’s unique desires and perspectives. It allows him to see his patients as people with unique situations instead of just another number in the assembly line. He prides himself on listening to his patients’ wants and needs to create dental treatment plans specific to the individual.
Outside of the office, Dr. Josh enjoys the beach, fishing, and cooking with his wife, two dogs, and two children. If you have a good recipe or a secret spot for great food, he wants to hear about it!
